Roasted nuts?
Here's your guy. Usually found near the corner of Wukang and Wuyuan roads in the French Concession. A friendly entrepreneur with a good selection.
But don't stand too close because when he opens the sealed container after the roasting is complete, it opens with a god-awful explosion. Scared the living crap out of me one day when I was least expecting it (which he thought was just hilarious).
