I've been back in Shanghai for almost two weeks now...and it seems as if I've only been back for a day. Yes, the jetlag is waning (thank god), but because I returned to discover that my ayi (childcare helper) left the country, life has been, well, nuts.
I've interviewed six or so possible ayis, have had three work for a few days on a trial basis, but oy, it is not easy to find someone to trust your child with.
But life goes on...with or without a strong foothold.
So...
let's talk about good stuff! THIRSTY stuff!
And oh, yeah, there's lots of it!
In recent days, I've either done a guest post or THIRSTY has been reviewed at:
There are some others, but I'll add them later in the week. Right now, I'm bushed. I'm heading to bed.
Night.
Good luck on the ayi situation. I feel for you. I lok forward to reading your reviews and keeping up with your blog tour. And, yes, it IS hard to find someone you entrust with your most precious commodity. Aside from the Shout cleaning (ha ha) sounds like your last ayi was a good one.
I'm working on strengthening my own foothold. current focus: making cooking more enjoyable than deplorable. I'm thinking it will make for a happier household.
One day at a time!
Hang in there!!

I imagine it's much harder to catch up after an overseas trip. Closest I've come to this is going to Hawaii from Texas. And not only that, but the ayi thing. Hang in there. It'll all come together.
Like Amy says... one day at a time. Heck, one hour at a time.
